France in the Roaring 20s

Under a blood-red sky

Under a blood-red sky is a collection of two scenarios and a five-part campaign, firmly rooted in France in the Roaring 20s and never before published. The book also offers a dozen adventure seeds, allowing a Keeper to give greater historical depth to other scenarios set in France but for which the roots might be lost in the mists of time.

  • Under a blood-red sky. During a ritual taken from a German occultist, a French aviator disappears into limbo, where he attempts to transcend his human form. But the ritual has also allowed an entity with unknown motivations to enter our world.
  • The Darkness at the heart of the mountain. While searching for a group of missing hunters in Auvergne, the investigators discover a clan of degenerate snake-men and the impious links they have with humans.
  • Tragedy in Pit 5. Through his relentless digging into coal veins that may be tens of thousands of centuries old, mankind was bound to awaken a Great Old One. Now they must do whatever it takes to prevent it from reaching the surface. A double scenario, playable by two groups at the same time or one after the other.

Under a blood-red sky is a French creation and the first collection of its nature for the roleplaying game Call of Cthulhu. Author Tristan Lhomme has excelled for decades in launching investigators into the most terrifying stories. Discover with him how horror in France has nothing to envy from that of other horizons.
