Back Cover Text
Isaac knows he shouldn't be here, but he's come too far to go back empty-handed.
Machinery whips and steams around him. Isaac is grateful for its noisy diversion, even as his skin sweats and drips from its heat. He knows that if the factory fell silent, they would hear him in an instant. He whispers a pracyer to the Enlightened One...
"Hold it!"
Turning slowly, Isaac finds himself staring into the sentinel's deep black eyes. The unarmed man in smiling... a thin feral smile more chilling than any weapon.
"We've been expecting you... Isaac."
Isaac says nothing.
"We understand that you are... curious... about our project here. Very well, then. Come with me. I think you'll find the experience... enlightening."
The guard's smile widens as he laughs, splitting his face like an overripe tomato. The smile peels wider still, revealing something black and glistening hiding beneath the skin.
A scream rises unbidden from Isaac's throat, but is quickly drowned out by the clank and hiss of the factory.
The NOCTURNUM campaign expands your Call of Cthulhu game with a malign new evil and an ancient conspiracy against humanity. HOLLOW WINDS, the second book in the NOCTURNUM camapaign, contains an in-depth examination of this inhuman threat and its apocalyptic plans for the Earth. It picks up where LONG SHADES left off, and plunges the players into a macabre network of dark schemes.
HOLLOW WINDS is a postmodern campaign source book for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. The background and adventures are easily adaptable to many other horror systems.
Twelve cycles in each week.
One in nine block the eye.
The golden orb, an ebon hand.
Ashothero, the hour draws near.

Comments / Trivia
This adventure was translated into German and published by Pegasus Spiele
All three chapters of the Nocturnum campaign were later reprinted in a collection edition as Nocturnum: Master Collection and later still converted to Call of Cthulhu d20 rules and reprinted in compendium form as Nocturnum d20
When the d20 edition was published, one chapter from this volume (Flight 714) was omitted due to post-9/11 sensitivities
